Applicants

Who Can Join?

Applicants may be any person residing in or within 5 miles of the Bethany Santiago Fire District who is 18 years old, with a good character and standing in the community. All applicants must reside in York County, SC.

Application process for new members:

Applicants must complete a membership application
Applicants must attend three consecutive meetings of members
Applicants must read and acknowledge understanding of the by-laws
Applicants must pass a SC Criminal Background Check; which will be performed after the second consecutive meeting.
At the third consecutive meeting and upon receipt of an approved background check, the applicant must be approved by a majority vote of members.
